I disagree with your assessment that the Catholic Church’s new initiative of establishing an exorcism squad is ridicilous. The Catholic Church, through the ages, has always done battle with the Evil One, and has codified and written a step-by-step process on how to combat him. However, it is true that ever since the advent of the “Enlightenment”, the belief in devils and exorcisms, for many, has slowly but surely evolved into something more metaphorical, and not so literal. Perhaps you belong to this group and therefore find it disappointing that the Catholic Church has returned to fighting evil in such a traditional way. In my conversations with several priests (from both camps), I have to say that I find the ones that believe that the Evil One’s influence in mankind has strengthened more believable. I know, it sounds like a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. But when you speak with a priest that knows the demonic world, how it works, and is well-educated in disciplines outside religion, you can’t help but believe in what they have to say. So, to wrap it up in a nutshell, perhaps you should do a little more research on the subject before you knock the belief system of over 1 billion souls.

Try research on the Schaefer expedition of 1938-39 to Tibet. You get a good description on film, photographs and accounts of the standards of living of the peasants.

To the writer of this article,

I would be delighted to hear to which sources you can refer to prove Tibet has been ruled by vicious warlords before the rule by China from the 1950’s. On this moment I am doing a little research and it is very difficult to get to know some objective history-sources. Actually I would like to say I agree with your approach but I need a little proof. As you were saying you are on a history major, you surely will be able to tell me where your knowledge comes from. Thanks!

pretty funny video, and that’s coming from a Christian (me). Many believers are easily spooked, no doubt about it. The rest of us are attempting to get them to calm down so that they can reason a little.

Interesting site you have. Dawkins is an intriguing dude and very polished. I’d love to debate him someday. Although- someone should tell him to stop with all the pondering in photos, etc. He’s starting to come off as a mystic

You guys that think Evolution is possible have not watched the movie, I can guarantee this with my life. First, there are 2 types of Creation Theories. God Theory and Aliens Theory.

Those who don’t believe in God Creation, believe in Aliens Creation.

If your an Evolutionist and don’t believe in Aliens, your totally contradicting yourself, because we are Aliens on planet Earth, created through Evolution. Thus, the same process of Life Making has to have happened on other planets.

The simple cell is so highly complex that the laws of physics and genetics simply can not count for the making of it. It would be easier and more probable for Nature to carve “Jenni Loves Victor” in a tree then for nature to have made the Cell.

How can Disorganized Matter organize itself into a Living Breathing Machine that is capable of Self-Replication. The cell knows how Repair itself, it knows how to Feed itself. It also has an internal communication system that is more complex the the Internet. The DNA is read by a molecular machine that makes RNA and then this strand of RNA is used to make Proteins. There is a minimal 256 different types of proteins the cell needs to for survival, how in the world does it know how to make the protein it needs and place that protein exactly in the correct place.

All the Laws of Genetics contradict Evolution. There’s not one, not one law of Genetics to support Evolution. The simple cell is not as simple as Evolutionists make it out to be. The field of genetics is so highly complex that theres never ending volumes of info on the subject and we still don’t know everything there is to know about genetics. We are still discovering new things.

I’ve Taken Biology and Genetics in College and If you open a Biology book or a Physics book, especially Physics, you will quickly find how extremely complex the simple cell really is.
